In the eye of the beholder

Amanda Nelsen – 40,000 pieces of junk mail turned into art

♥ We just rewatched the animated Beauty and the Beast, and you know that feeling when Belle opens her eyes to take in  the glory of the in-house library? Yeah, this slideshow of the 20 most beautiful bookstores in the world is kinda like that. Breathtaking!

♥ Turning 40,000 pieces of junk mail into art? Awesome.

♥ Oh, Twilight. I did enjoy reading you way back when in more innocent times (and watching the first movie), but I get where the criticism comes from. And I also enjoyed this post that muses, if famous writers had written Twilight My personal fave is the first, Herman Melville. “Call me Bella.” GENIUS! And some of the follow-up comments are great, too.

♥ I’ve eaten at one of Food & Wine’s roundup of the world’s weirdest restaurants. Can you guess which one?

♥ Love this video essay by Kevin B. Lee on The Spielberg Face. “If Spielberg deserves to be called a master of audience manipulation, then this is his signature stroke.”
